One-fingered victory salute

According to Salon, this video was made when George Bush was governor of Texas. Bush's "one-fingered victory salute" is directed at adviser Karen Hughes who's voice can be heard in the background.

This reminds me of an incident back when Nelson Rockefeller was vice president. A group of protesters started to heckle him while he gave a speech at SUNY Binghamton. Irritated, he retaliated by giving the group the finger (shown here). Yes, that's Bob Dole in the background. Dole was asked why he didn't join in with Rockefeller, He replied "I have trouble with my right arm.", reminding them of his injury in the Second World War. (Bush video via octopus dropkick!)
