Coffee achiever

In 1986 Russell Christoff posed for a photographer on assignment for Nestle. He was paid a modest amount for his time and assumed that nothing ever came of the two-hour shoot. In 2002 he was standing in line at a Home Depot when a woman leaned over and said, "You look like the guy on my coffee jar.". It turns out he was. He's the guy pictured on the Taster's Choice jar.

Last week he won a lawsuit against Nestle for using his likeness without his permission and profiting from it. A Los Angeles County Superior Court jury ordered Nestle USA to pay Christoff $15.6 million!

Christoff's image has been on Taster's Choice jars for years, how come he never noticed? "I don't buy Taster's Choice," he explained. "I do beans."
